In 1982, Churchill Downs upgraded further to a computerized pari-mutuel system and, by the attendance records that are fractured each succeeding year on the first Saturday in May when the “Run for the Roses” takes place, the Churchill Downs racetrack must continue to be pro-active in undergoing improvements in the delivery of services to its patrons.
